Spectres are malevolent, incorporeal undead born from souls consumed by pure hatred or intense negative energy. Unlike ghosts, who are often bound by lingering tragedy or unresolved business, spectres are defined by an absolute loathing for all living things. They are typically found in the darkest, most desolate reaches of the world, as they are physically pained and weakened by the presence of natural sunlight.

They appear as shadowy, translucent apparitions, often with hollow eyes that burn with a cold, malevolent fire. Because they lack a physical form, they possess higher Dexterity and Charisma, allowing them to pass through solid matter and command supernatural fear, though this incorporeal nature results in lower Strength and Constitution. In battle, they are terrifying predators that drain the life essence of their victims with a single touch, quickly transforming those they slay into subservient spectral thralls.
