Overview
Monkey goblins (often called “Gunkies” by sailors) are a subrace of goblinoids native to the tropical jungles of Garund. They are often chaotic and nimble. Monkey goblins are darker and more “savage” than the comedic goblins of the Inner Sea. They primarily worship demon lords and jungle spirits. Shamans are the most feared members of a tribe, often conducting sacrifices to appease dark powers.
Physical Description
Monkey Goblins look like a cross between a traditional goblin and a spider monkey. They lack the bulky heads and spindly legs of northern goblins, possessing instead a physique perfectly evolved for life in the jungle canopy.
The most striking feature of a monkey goblin is its long, muscular, rat-like tail. It is usually hairless or covered in fine, short fuzz. It is incredibly strong, capable of supporting their entire body weight while they hang upside down to fire a shortbow. Their bodies in general are built for swinging through trees with lanky arms and opposable toes. Their skin tones range from olive green and mossy brown to a warm, sun-baked tan.
