BARROW WIGHT
| Spoken Language: Languages known in life |
Overview
Barrow Wights are the eternal sentinels of ancient burial mounds and ancestral tombs, bound to the earth to protect the treasures and remains of the long-dead. Unlike roaming wights, these entities are strictly territorial, rarely venturing beyond the shadows of their cairns. They are defined by a singular, obsessive purpose: the absolute defense of their sanctum against 'grave-robbers' and any living soul that disturbs their rest.
Physical Description
Clad in the corroded bronze or iron of forgotten eras, their presence is marked by a palpable chill and the scent of dry, ancient dust. They possess a supernatural fortitude born from centuries of silent vigil, granting them increased Strength and Constitution, though their isolation and cold hatred for the living result in a lower Charisma. In battle, they utilize the cramped terrain of their tombs to their advantage, striking with heavy, life-draining blows that sap the warmth from any who dare desecrate their sacred ground.
